Goderich's Brock Dykxhoorn On Verge Of Pan Am Gold

Goderich's Brock Dykxhoorn and the Canadian mens baseball team will be competing for gold at the 2015 Pan Am games Sunday night.

The Canadians will take on the United States at 7:05pm in Ajax.

Dykxhoorn, a pitching prospect of Major League Baseball's Houston Astros, had one earned run and two strikeouts through one inning in Canada's 7-1 semi-final win over Puerto Rico on Saturday.

That was the 6'8" reliever's first action since pitching a no-hit, one strikeout inning in a 9-1 win over Nicaragua in the preliminary round.
