UPDATE: Chepstow Rolling Through Tournament

It's safe to say that Chepstow's offense at the U16 Boy's Canadian Fast Pitch Championships is electrifying.

In this morning's game against Glencoe, the Lang Farms Lightning cruised to a 20-1 win in five innings. Both teams were 2-0 entering the contest. Glencoe opened the scoring in the bottom of the first after a runner reached on an error then scored on a double two batters later.

In the top of the second the flood gates opened as Chepstow scored 11 runs. They added four more in the third and five more runs in the fourth and held Glencoe scoreless through their at bats from the second inning on.

Teeswater's Mac Fischer got the start for Chepstow and picked up his second win of the tournament.

Chepstow has outscored its opponents 40-2 in three games played.

Chepstow was to face Nova Scotia, which has a 2-2 record, at 4:30 p.m. EST but rain cancelled the rest of Thursday's schedule. Chepstow will now play three games on Friday starting with that game against Nova Scotia at 12 Noon. The Lightning then plays back to back versus Manitoba at 4:00 p.m. EST and against Saskatoon at 5:30 p.m. EST.
