The Listowel Curling Club will be hosting the Scotties Regional Playdowns.
Listowel curler and organizer Katie Cottrill says the Ontario Curling Association asked for clubs to host the event during the spring zone meeting and Listowel "jumped at the chance."
"The structure changed a little bit for the Scotties Regions this year," she explains, "You're able to enter one Region before Christmas and one region after so we are going to be one of the Regions after Christmas."
Cottrill will also be competing in the event and skipping her own rink, Team Cottrill. The Scotties Regional Playdowns at the Listowel Curling Club begin January 8th, 2016.
