Goderich Pitcher Will Throw Heat At Camps

Goderich native and professional pitcher Brock Dykxhoorn will be running a two day pitching camp this month.

The 21-year-old continues to work in the Houston Astros system and capitalized on a big opportunity this past summer.

"Getting to play in the Pan Am Games with Team Canada was an experience of a lifetime. To win a gold medal in front of the home crowad was a special experience I will never forget, " says Dykxhoorn. "I know growing up it was always a cool thing to see a couple of collegiate baseball players out of Goderich and the area. To see them come back and help out with teams that I played on was pretty cool when I was a kid. So, I thought what better way to give back to the town than do a little two day camp."

The pitching camps will run December 21 and 22 in Clinton from 10 a.m. to noon and in Goderich from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.

You can contact the Clinton and Goderich minor baseball associations for registration details.
