The Western Jr. C League has handed out its awards for the 2015-2016 season.
Walkerton's Lauchlin Elder has been named the league's MVP and led the scoring race with 63 points. That was one point better than Mount Forest forward Doug Costanzo.
Elder was also named player of the month for January.
Wingham rookie Mitch Deelstra was named rookie of the month for January. The Ironmen forward picked up 12 points in seven games through the month. He ended up second in team scoring with 38 points.
