The PJHL Junior C loop is expanding its schedule for next season, as teams from the Pollock Division will now play some games against opponents in the Carruthers Division.
Steve Coulter, the convener of the Pollock Division, saysthe schedule will vary from team to team.
"Some teams will play a home-and-away, some teams will play 2 away and 1 at home. We're also a 40 game schedule this year, so it's improving that way, too."
Coulter says the new schedule won't translate to cross-league playoff seedings, as teams will remain in their respective divisions for the playoffs as usual. He also says there's a slight change to the points system as well.
"All the new games count for points, and there's no ties anymore. You get a point now if you tie, which will tighten up the leagues even more, I believe."
Coulter says the eventual goal is to have all the PJHL Divisions play games against each other so fans get to see more of the talent around the league.
