Patriots second period volley key in win

Three different Mount Forest Patriots scored in the second period to help lead the team to a 4-3 win over Alliston in Game 1 of the PJHL North Conference Final.

Brody LeBlanc, Thomas Haffner and Owen Rahn all scored with the second and third goals coming just 14 seconds apart.

The Patriots had a 1-0 lead going into the second after Jack Francis opened the scoring in the first.

Alliston tied it early in the second on a Ryan Sallows power play goal. His first of three goals on the night. He would also score near the end of the second period on the power play and again in the third short handed.

Aidan Quish picked up the win in net stopping 33 shots.

Game 2 is in Alliston on Friday at 7:30 p.m.

Game 3 is in Mount Forest at 8 p.m. on Saturday. CKNX will have coverage of Game 3 on Cherrey Buslines OHA Hockey.
