Patriots face elimination from the North Conference Final

The Mount Forest Patriots are now facing elimination following a 5-1 loss to Alliston in the PJHL North Conference final.

The game was decided in the first period when Alliston jumped out to a four goal lead less than 12 minutes into the game. Caden Maher scored back-to-back goals including one on the power play, all before the Patriots got on the board.

Klayton Hoelscher was the lone scorer for Mount Forest, finding the twine at 15:39 of the opening frame.

Ryan Sallows' power play goal at 16:16 of the first sealed the Patriots fate. Neither team scored in the second and third periods.

Game 6 goes tonight in Alliston with the series shifting back to Mount Forest for Game 7 if needed.
