Listowel's Corey Conners is in the hunt at the PGA's Valero Texas Open.
He shot a second round of 5-under 67, good enough to put him into a five-way tie for first in the clubhouse.
Conners had to qualify for the tournament but a first round of 69 and second round of 67 has him at 8-under for the tournament.
He was able to able to birdie three of the first nine holes on the day. He gave some back after bogeys on holes 10 and 13. But then he ended the day with birdies on four of the last five holes.
American Jordan Speith also at the top of the leaderboard.
