Listowel's Corey Conners was able to string together two birdies and an eagle on the back nine in his first round at The Masters.
After shooting a 1-over par on the front nine, he put himself back under par for the round with birdies on the 13th and 14th. And he sunk an eagle on the par-5 15th.
Conners would end the day with a 2-under-70. That is good for a tie for 11th.
Conners second round tee off time is 11:15AM Friday.
Five players sit at 3-under, two are at 4-under, Phil Mickelson is alone at 5-under and the leaders are at 6-under. They are Americans Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka.
Tiger Woods is at 2-under and the only other Canadian in the field, Mike Weir, is even par.
