Local athletes collect medals at OFSAA High School Track & Field

Local athletes were successful on Day 2 of the OFSAA High School Track & Field Championship at the University of Guelph.

Harley Martin of Sacred Heart High School in Walkerton won Gold in Midget Girls Javelin throwing a personal best 38.73m, collecting her second medal in as many days.

Jeremy Elliott of Sacred Heart in Walkerton won Bronze in Senior Boys Discus with a throw of 50.61m.

In the Senior Girls Discus event, Hanna Van Stuyvenberg of FE Madill in Wingham won Bronze with a throw of 38.01m while Billie Martin of Sacred Heart in Walkerton placed 7th throwing 34.53m.

The action continues today at Alumni Stadium in Guelph.
