Patriots put themselves on top

A 7-0 for Mount Forest in Goderich Tuesday night gives Mount Forest another Pollock Division win in the regular season, their third consecutive year.

Seven different Patriots players scored as the team put 50 shots on the Goderich net. The win gives Mount Forest 64 points on the season, five better than Wingham and the Ironmen only have two more games left on their schedule.

The Patriots now have the option of taking a first round bye for the playoffs.

For the Goderich Flyers, there is no rest. The team heads to the P and H Centre for a game versus Hanover Wednesday at 8:30 p.m.

The Barons have a chance to pull even with Kincardine for fourth with a win.
