(Blackburn News file photo)A special evening with women's hockey star Kendra Fisher, formerly of Kincardine, will be held in Mount Forest in the wake of the recent tragic death of 20-year old Mount Forest man.
A former member of Team Canada’s Women’s Hockey Program, Fisher will be the guest speaker at the evening known as the Mentally Fit Kendra Fisher Event.
It will be held Feb 24 at the Mount Forest Sports Complex.
Wellington North council donated $500 to the event.
The man was charged in March with sexual assault offences.
Both couples won in the April 11 draw.
Rondeau Harbour and Wheatley Harbour will now have the funding to make infrastructure repairs and upgrades.
