The Port Elgin Super Spiel is back this year after missing last year due to COVID 19. 16 teams are competing for $13,000 in prize money.
Play got underway at 9 am Friday with additional draws at 12, 3, 6 and 9. Play resumes tomorrow with the playoffs on Sunday.
The field includes 4 of the top 10 ranked teams in Ontario, a team from Quebec, a team from New Brunswick as well as a few local area teams.
Early favourites with wins in the first game include Team Kean (Ingersol), Team Ferris (Gimsby), Team Lawes (Collingwood) and Team Ainsley (Toronto)
