OHL to lift proof of vax requirements, return to full capacity March 1st

The Ontario Hockey League made an announcement today regarding fans attending games.

As of March 1st, the OHL will no longer require fans to provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19 to enter arenas, and all rinks will return to full capacity, as well. Public health restrictions such as wearing masks will still be required in all OHL rinks.

The league recently announced they would extend the regular season to April 17th in order to get all teams to the regular 68 games following numerous postponements after the Christmas break lockdowns.

“We’re very excited to see fans back watching the Ontario Hockey League in person,” said OHL Commissioner David Branch. “It’s been a season like no other, and I’m very proud of the way that everyone across the League has come together to follow the guidance of our government and public health leaders as we navigate the challenges presented by COVID-19. We’ll continue to prioritize health and safety first for players, staff, fans and their communities as the season continues.”
