Softball Canada men in Argentina for major international tournament

After almost 3 years off due to the pandemic, the Canadian Men’s National Softball Team is back in action.

The team has landed in Argentina to compete in the 2022 WBSC Americas XI Men’s Softball Pan American Championship. The tournament will run from April 24th-30th with the top four teams earning spots for the 2022 WBSC Men’s Softball World Cup, which is scheduled to be played November 26th to December 4th, 2022 in New Zealand. The Pan American Championship will feature 10 teams in two pools and Canada will be pooled with No. 2 Argentina, No. 7 USA, No. 37 Colombia, and unranked Puerto Rico. Canada is ranked 6th in the world. The roster features Mitchell, Ontario native Tyler Pauli.

The tournament will get underway for Canada on April 24th against Colombia at 2 p.m. Eastern time. The other pool will feature No. 8 Mexico, No. 11 Venezuela, No. 12 Guatemala, No. 14 Cuba and No. 35 Dominican Republic. The team Canada roster is as follows:
