The GOJHL has concluded their annual general meeting, and the league says they will return to a "regular timeline" next season.
In a release via Twitter, the league says that the 2022-23 season will be back to a normal, 50 game schedule following a 48 game elongated season last year following COVID lockdowns during the winter. The league had to cancel the annual Showcase and Top Prospects game as a result, but both will return this season. Pelham will host the GOJHL Showcase the 3rd week of the season, which is slated to start September 7th. Ayr will host their first event as a GOJHL team, with the Top Prospects game being hosted there on December 27th.
The playoffs are set to begin on March 1st. The Showcase in Pelham will allow each team to play two games with NCAA, CHL and USports scouts in attendance.

“The 2021-22 season was a grind but we were very pleased our players, teams and communities were finally able to play a full season and award the Sutherland Cup. We are very excited to get back to our normal dates, and like all of us, hope we’ve put the pandemic permanently in the rear-view mirror.” says GOJHL Commissioner Brent Garbutt. “We’re very excited for 2022-23 and with lots of programs and league initiatives in the works, it will be a busy summer before we get back on the ice."
