Conners starts second round of Scottish Open above the projected cut line

Listowel's Corey Conners is scheduled to start his second round at the Scottish Open at 8:45 a.m. eastern on Friday.

He shot a bogey free first round and finished with an even par-70. That put him nine shots back of the first round leader, American Cameron Tringale.

Conners is coming off a two week break.

He missed the cut at the U.S. Open after finishing sixth at the RBC Canadian Open and in a tie for 13th at the Memorial through June.

The early projected cut line is at 1-over par.

Nick Talyor and Mackenzie Hughes are the only other Canadians in the field and they finished their first rounds at 5-over par and 6-over par respectively.
