Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame gets involved with new Jays Care Roy Halladay Field

The Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame is getting involved with the new Roy Halladay Field.

In a release, the Hall says they are making a 3-year commitment alongside Jays Care "that will be used to cover the cost of one young ballplayer a year to play on the newly minted Roy Halladay Field at Highview Park, officially unveiled in Toronto on July 13th."

Roy Halladay was inducted into the Hall of Fame, located in St. Marys, Ontario, in 2017 after his spectacular 12 seasons with the Toronto Blue Jays and brief stint with even more success in Philadelphia.

“We are glad to be able to support the great work the Jays Care Foundation are doing in the community. With Roy being a Hall of Fame person and player this is a great opportunity for us to be involved by supporting children so they can play” says Jeremy Diamond, Chair of the Board of Directors with the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum.
