Schedule set for inaugural final series of the OEHL

The schedule is all set for the first ever Ontario Elite Hockey League championship final.

The Minto 81's and Tavistock Royals will battle it out in a best-of-seven series for the OEHL Cup, which was first awarded in 1935 as the J.F. Paxton Cup.

The series will kick off on Saturday, March 23 in Tavistock at 7:30 p.m.

Whoever wins will claim Senior AA dominance and the first OEHL league title.

The full schedule is as follows:

Game 1: Saturday March 23rd – 7:30 p.m. in Tavistock

Game 2: Sunday March 24th – 6:30 p.m. in Palmerston

Game 3: Friday March 29th – 6:30 p.m. in Palmerston

Game 4: Saturday March 30th – 7:30 p.m. in Tavistock

Game 5*: Friday April 5th – 8:30 p.m. in Palmerston

Game 6*: Saturday April 6th – 7:30 p.m. in Tavistock

Game 7*: Sunday April 7th – 3:00 p.m. in Palmerston

* - if necessary

The OEHL was officially established in 2023 from teams that made up much of the old WOAA Senior Hockey League. The league is OHA and Hockey Canada sanctioned and has 11 member organizations.
