A U20 fastball tournament being held in Tara will see a Team Ontario squad with lots of local talent.
The U20 Team Ontario squad will feature Connor Paige of Hanover, Durham's Alex McGillivray, who is fresh off a PJHL Schmalz Cup hockey title with the Hanover Barons, Joe Weiler from Hepworth, and Chatsworth native Dakota McComb.
Games for the Team Ontario squad begin on Friday, June 6 at 8:30 p.m. against Wiarton, followed by a noon first pitch on Saturday, June 7 against the Elmira U20 squad, and a 4:45 game later that day against the Shallow Lake U20 team.
This is the ninth annual tournament hosted by the Tara Twins. The tournament finals will be played on Sunday, June 8.
