The Windsor Spitfires fell 6-5 in overtime in their playoff series opener against the Kitchener Rangers on Thursday.
The Spitfires took a 3-2 lead in the first period, but the Rangers were able to tie things up at 4-4 in the second. Both teams scored once in the third to keep things tied and force OT.
Kitchener scored the game winner 2:39 into extra time.
Bradley Latour, Logan Stanley, Jalen Chatfield, Christian Fischer and Aaron Luchuk all scored once for Windsor.
The two teams return to the ice on Saturday for Game 2 at 7pm.
