A Windsor golf and country club turns 100 this year and will celebrate the milestone with a new fundraising initiative.
Beach Grove Golf and Country Club wants to raise $100,000 to support children, mental health, hospitals, and the community.
It is also challenging other corporations within Windsor-Essex to consider their own initiatives this year in recognition of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the community.
"There are several needs in our community. We are all aware of a family or business that has been challenged," said President Frank Dayus.
The money will go to the Windsor Cancer Centre, WE Care for Kids, UHC - Hub of Opportunities, and the Canadian Mental Health Association.
"The goal is to raise $100,000 and announce the final results during our 2021 New Year's Eve Gala," said Chair and Vice President Karl Straky.
Beach Grove has over 2,000 members and will raise the cash through sponsorship opportunities, a donor program, and a member campaign.
