The Town of LaSalle says construction on a new dog park near the Vollmer Culture and Recreation Complex has begun.
Town councillors approved the project during its meeting on June 8.
The dog park, about an acre in size, will be in the southeast corner of the property. There will be separate areas for large and small dogs, a water source, and trees to provide shade.
"We know that a dog park is something that the community has been asking about," said Mayor Marc Bondy. "We included the project in the 2021 budget."
The project is projected to cost $85,000 and should open in the fall.
