Arson suspect sought in Windsor

Windsor police are looking for help in finding a person connected to arson in the downtown core.

It happened in the early morning hours of September 30, in the area of Windsor Avenue and Tuscarora Street. Police officers appeared on the scene around 3 a.m. with Windsor Fire and Rescue on a report of a house fire.

The fire was soon put out, but it caused extensive damage, according to Constable Darius Goze. No injuries were reported.

Upon investigation, it was determined that the fire may have been suspicious.

The Windsor police's arson unit has released a security camera image, seen below, of a woman near the property between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m.

The suspect is described as a White female, wearing a grey baseball cap with black trim, grey pants, a black spring jacket, and black sandals. She was carrying several bags and a black backpack.
