If you need a COVID-19 vaccine shot or a booster, you are invited to one of two clinics Tuesday in Windsor-Essex.
The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit will hold free vaccination clinics at the South Asian Centre on Seminole Street and George Avenue, and at the Atlas Tube Centre in Lakeshore.
Both clinics are open to everyone five and older who needs a first or second dose. Booster shots will also be available to anyone 18 and older.
The clinic at the South Asian Centre will operate from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Language support will be available at the clinic in Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu, and Tamil.
"Get vaccinated and boosted to protect yourself and your family from getting seriously ill or needing hospitalization with a COVID-19 infection," read a media release from the South Asian Centre. "Studies have indicated that South Asians are at a greater risk of COVID-19 infections, hospitalizations and death due to co-existing health conditions and other health disparities contributing to it."
The Atlas Tube Centre's clinic is open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Both events are walk-in with no registration or appointment needed, and both the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines will be given out.
