Caesars Windsor's entertainment offerings continue to pile on with an appearance by a music legend.
Sir Tom Jones will play the Colosseum at Caesars Windsor on September 23.
In a career that has spanned over six decades, the 81-year-old performer is best known for his soaring, bluesy baritone voice and stage presence. Among his many hits are "It's Not Unusual", "Delilah", "The Green Grass of Home", "Thunderball", "What's New, Pussycat?", and a cover of Prince's "Kiss".
The Windsor appearance is a stop on Jones' 'Surrounded by Time" tour, supporting his 41st studio album. The new album includes songs written by Bob Dylan, Cat Stevens, and others.
Jones has sold over 100 records worldwide and has had 25 Canadian Top-40 hits. Two of those, "What's New, Pussycat?" and "Without Love (There Is Nothing), went to number-one in Canada.
The Welsh crooner has also won the 1966 Grammy Award for Best New Artist, a Golden Globe Award for a 1970 TV special, two Brit Awards for British music, and even an MTV Video Music Award. He has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and was knighted in 2006 by Queen Elizabeth II for his lifelong service to music.
Tickets will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. at the Caesars Windsor box office or online at Ticketmaster. Guests must be 19 or older to attend the show or enter the casino.
