Police warn against attending unsanctioned gathering

The Windsor Police Service is discouraging students and residents from attending an unsanctioned homecoming street party on Saturday.

Police say they are aware of a party expected on Randolph Avenue between Wyandotte Street West and Union Street. However, there are no planned street closures.

They warn unsanctioned large gatherings can be disruptive and pose significant safety risks.

Police plan to have a high presence in the area in anticipation of the gathering.
