Caesars Concerts For a Cure to support cancer centre

Caesars Windsor's popular fundraising campaign will direct this year's efforts to help cancer patients in Windsor-Essex.

The entertainment and gambling complex announced Wednesday that its Concerts For a Cure series will support Grow On Cancer and Lock Out Cancer, the signature fundraising programs for the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre.

"Cancer affects all of us, whether it is a personal battle or that of a family member, friend or coworker," said Caesars Windsor Director of Entertainment Tim Trombley. "One of the organizations at the forefront in our community is the Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation and we are pleased that proceeds from the funds raised will go towards their programs."

Specifically, the money raised will support the cancer centre's Robes for Radiation, and the purchase of a new bladder scanner.

"We are honoured to partner with Caesars Windsor on this initiative," said Windsor Regional Cancer Centre Executive Director Houida Kassem. "Their commitment to local cancer care speaks to the importance of supporting those in our community diagnosed with cancer."

All proceeds from tickets sold to Caesars Windsor events in October and November will go to the cancer centre.

The shows included in the Concerts For a Cure series are The Kat & Dave Show, Sebastian Maniscalco, Theresa Caputo, The Offspring with Simple Plan, Cirque Musica: Holiday Wonderland, and Russell Peters.

Tickets can be purchased at the Caesars Windsor box office, or online through Ticketmaster.
