Chatham-Kent police say one person is dead and three others are injured after a two-vehicle crash near Ridgetown.

Officers responded to the serious collision around 1 p.m. on Saturday on Victoria Road at Gosnell Line.

The collision involved two vehicles.

Police say the driver, a 32-year-old Chatham woman, was driving a vehicle with a 13-year-old passenger on Gosnell Line when the vehicle collided with another vehicle travelling northbound on Victoria Road.

The driver of that vehicle, a 60-year-old Chatham woman was pronounced deceased at the scene. A 60-year-old passenger was seriously injured and transported to London via air ambulance where she is listed in stable condition.

The 32-year-old woman and the 13-year-old passenger both received non-life threatening injuries and were transported to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance and are in fair condition.

Police say the name of the deceased driver will not be released at this time.

The Traffic Management Unit has taken over the investigation.
