Colosseum to welcome Australian Pink Floyd Show in September

The golden anniversary of one of rock's most influential albums will be celebrated at Caesars Windsor this fall.

The entertainment complex announced Monday afternoon that the Australian Pink Floyd Show will perform at the Colosseum on September 28. The concert is part of the tribute band's tour commemorating the 50th anniversary of Pink Floyd's iconic Dark Side of the Moon album.

The Australian Pink Floyd Show first hit the stage in Adelaide, Australia, in 1988. Currently, 11 musicians and singers are in the lineup, with guitarist and lead vocalist Steve Mac, keyboardist Jason Sawford, and drummer Paul Bonney with the group from the beginning.

The band recreates a Pink Floyd show from a later world tour, with stunning accuracy.

The album Dark Side of the Moon, released in 1973, is Pink Floyd's eighth studio set. It went 14 times platinum in Great Britain and reached number two on the British albums chart. In the U.S., it went to number one on the Billboard 200 and also topped the chart in Canada on the RPM album chart.

Tickets for the Australian Pink Floyd Show go on presale for Caesars Rewards members at 10 a.m. Wednesday, and for the general public on Friday at 10 a.m.

If you'd like tickets, they are available at the Caesars Windsor box office, open Saturday and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on show days from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tickets are also available online through the Caesars website or Ticketmaster.

Guests must be 19 or older to see the show or enter the casino.
