Man charged in death of 22-year-old

A 50-year-old London man has been charged with second degree murder after a woman was found dead in the west end of the city.

Police responded around 3 p.m. on Wednesday to a home on Kingsway Avenue, near Wonderland Road, for a report of a medical emergency.

Police said that when they arrived, a person was found dead and a suspect was arrested without incident.

The victim has now been identified by police as 22-year-old Caitlin Jennings of London.

David Yates, 50, has been charged following the investigation.

Not many details are known, but police said the two were known to each other.

Yates was set to appear in court on Thursday.

This is the fourth murder in London this year.

One person was charged in the death of a 69-year-old woman in April.

Two people are charged in the death of Levi Jordan Brown, who was found in a drainage ditch near Wharncliffe Road and Baseline Road in March.

Two people are also charged in the murder of Joel Cameron, who was stabbed at a Kipps Lane apartment building in March.
