Rebate Program Aims To Attract American Business

Mike Bradley favours a rebate program in an effort to attract American tourists.

The Sarnia Mayor recently sent a letter to Joe Oliver's office in support of the Frontier Duty Free Association's proposal.

Under the Road Travel Rebate Incentive Program, American visitors travelling into and out of Canada through a land border crossing would be eligible for a rebate of 5 per cent on purchases made during their trip.

The rebates would be available at participating Canadian duty free stores, and could then be spent at each land border crossing's respective store.
