Sarnia Police are advising residents to be aware of a lottery scam that's making the rounds in Sarnia and area.Constable Les Jones says victims receive a call telling them they've won a huge cash prize and a car.
The caller has the victim open up bank accounts and then has them cash cheques. The scammers have someone pick up the money from the victim and the cheques are later found to be fraudulent.
Constable Jones says you can't win a lottery you haven't entered and you don't have to pay fees to collect prizes in Canada.
