Another Record Low Set

Another record low temperature was set at Sarnia's Chris Hadfield Airport Friday morning.

The air temperature dropped to -24.4 C (-12 F) at 7am.

Environment Canada meteorologist Geoff Coulson says that broke the previous mark of -21.8 C set in 1978.

He says this is shaping up to be one of the coldest months of February ever in Sarnia-Lambton.

Environment Canada's extreme cold warning ended late Friday morning.

It's going to feel warm Saturday with the forecast high of -3 C within a few degrees of the seasonal norm.

Unfortunately a combination of weather systems will bring snow Friday night and Saturday with 10 cm to 15 cm (4 in to 6 in) possible across parts of Lambton County.

It will turn sharply colder again Monday with a high of -13 C.
