Nominations are now being accepted for the Mackenzie Volunteer Prize.
Lambton Shield publisher and editor J.D. Booth is organizing the award and says it's meant to celebrate volunteerism that honours Canada's second prime minister, Alexander Mackenzie.

Five finalists will each receive a $200 cash prize, with one of those finalists receiving $2,000 for the organization to which they volunteer.
Nomination forms can be filled out online at www.lambtonshield.com/mvp.
They will be accepted until March 1, with winners to be announced during a special event April 15 at Victoria Playhouse Petrolia.
Blackburn Radio is one of many groups sponsoring the program.
