The sap isn't flowing yet at Williamson Farms Sugar Bush in Lambton Shores
Co-owner Al Williamson says they need the temperature to warm up just a bit more.
Williamson says he's been tapping trees and getting all of the lines set for when the warmer temperature does arrive.
He says it's difficult to predict how long the season will last once the sap does start to flow. He says depending on mother nature, it can range anywhere from one week to six weeks.
Williamson is hopeful it will be flowing in time for the annual Ipperwash Maple Syrup Festival the last two weekends in March.
He says they will be offering sugar shanty tours, at their farm at 7739 Lakeshore Rd., both Saturday's and Sunday's from 9am-5pm.
