Thanks to $505,000 in funding from the province, Lambton College is now able to offer 12 additional online courses through Ontario Online.
Courses being developed this year include four in Health Care Leadership, two in Environmental Management, four in Advanced Power, and two in Pre-Health.
College President Judy Morris says they're all part of either graduate or college certificate programs and will be offered beginning in September.
Morris notes Lambton College and Brock University are leading the way in terms of the development of the online consortium.
Overall, Lambton College ranked third among the 24 Ontario colleges in the amount of funding awarded. Last year, the college received $225,000 in funding to develop five courses.
