As the snow melts in warmer temperatures, garbage and litter left from the fall is once again visible. Some residents have been finding used needles near their properties.
Lambton Public Health's Rhonda Galler says if you come across a used needle, take steps to remove it as safely as possible.

Residents can also notify the Sarnia Police Service and an officer will safely remove and dispose of the needles.
Officials also say anyone who is accidentally picked by a needle should seek immediate medical attention.
