Cyclone Aid Food Drive This Saturday

The 14th annual Cyclone Aid is Saturday and organizers are looking to build off record breaking donations last year.

With the amalgamation of St. Pats and St. Christopher high schools, Cyclone Aid now canvasses the whole city.

Over 500 students are expected to take part.

Over 32,000 lbs of food was collected last year, up 9000 lbs from the year before.

Grade 11 student and event co-chair Kendra Hoek has been taking part since elementary school.

The non perishable goods go to the Inn of the Good Shepherd.

Cyclone Aid runs from 9am until noon Saturday. Residents are encouraged to leave donations on their front steps to expedite collection.
