Three people are facing charges in connection with a rash of drug thefts from pharmacies.
The Ontario Provincial Police says between late August to November of 2014, a man broke into numerous pharmacies in Grand Bend, Bayfield, North Perth Township, Ailsa Craig and Forest. Police say the drugs were stolen and used for the purpose of trafficking.
Following a multi-jurisdictional investigation involving the OPP, Waterloo Regional Police, London police, St. Thomas police and Sarnia police, 34-year-old William Christopher Kechego from Adelaide St. in London has been charged with the following offences:
- Two counts of possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of a Schedule II Substance – Cannabis Marihuana Over 30 g.
- Six counts of break, enter and theft
- Four counts of wearing a disguise in the commission of an indictable offence
- Three counts of trafficking in a Schedule I Substance
- Three counts of trafficking in stolen goods Over $5,000
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
- Two counts of break and enter
- Wearing a disguise in the commission of an indictable offence
- Three counts of break, enter and theft
- Wearing a disguise in the commission of an indictable offence
- Three counts of failing to stop for police
