A heat event begins Monday.

What:
Maximum temperatures of 30 to 36 degrees Celsius.
Minimum temperatures of 20 to 23 degrees Celsius.
Humidex values of 38 to 45.

When:
Beginning Monday and ending either Wednesday evening or Thursday evening.

Additional information:
Tuesday will mark the peak of this heat event. Maximum temperatures are expected to reach near 36 degrees Celsius in some areas.

Hot and humid air can also bring deteriorating air quality and can result in the Air Quality Health Index approaching the high-risk category.

Expect a day of partly cloudy with clear spells

You can expect rain in the morning, with partly cloudy in the afternoon

With the wet weather, the planned re-dedication of the refurbished F-86 Sabre Golden Hawk Sunday at 2pm at Germain Park will be brief.
RCAF 403 Wing President John Stewart advises the public to join them at the Air Force Club instead.

The Air Force Club is located in City Centre Mall at Capel and Exmouth streets.
Stewart is hopeful that former astronaut, Sarnia's Chris Hadfield will be in attendance.
Environment Canada issued a rainfall warning for the area Sunday.
