Repeat Winner At YMCA-CHOK Bridge Race

Matthew Fecht won his second straight YMCA-CHOK Bridge Race Sunday.

The 31-year-old from Warren Michigan covered the 10K flat course under the Blue Water Bridge in 30:32.3

25-year-old Taylor Kraayenbrink of Sarnia was second 33:42.5.

37-year-old Brandi Victor of Sarnia was the top female runner, finishing ninth overall with a time of 42:06.1

The 38th edition of the race was different this year in that runners did not cross the Blue Water Bridge because of ongoing refurbishing of the original north span.

There were 10K and 5K events as well as a 1K Kids Fun Run with a super hero theme at Canatara Park.
