College Launches Another Capital Campaign

Lambton College has officially launched another ambitious fundraising campaign for planned capital projects.

$45-million is needed for a Centre for Health Education and Sustainable Care, a Recreation and Fitness Complex, and an Equipment Renewal Program.

Just over $11-million has already been raised for the Envision Tomorrow Capital Campaign announced on campus Monday morning.

Another $6.7-million is being sought from the community.

President and CEO Judith Morris says they're optimistic they'll receive funding support from the provincial and federal governments.

$30-million is needed for the health centre, $12-million for the athletic complex, and $3-million for equipment renewal.

Morris says money has already been secured for the fitness centre and they hope to begin construction in 2016.
