Sarnia police say a 40-year-old city man is charged with drug trafficking after a bust Wednesday night.
At about 9pm, a suspect was arrested as he came out of a residence in the 300-block of London Rd.
Police allege the subsequent execution of a search warrant revealed a sophisticated marijuana grow operation with a number of plants in various stages of growth. Police also say various spent packages of fentanyl were found with the most recent package having just been filled Tuesday.
There were a number of empty packages from a prescription which were well above the amount recommended to be taken in a one day period.
Other drugs were also seized.
The total value of the drugs is estimated at $5,500.
The accused was being held pending a bail hearing Thursday.
