The city will reduce the speed limit along a portion of Waterworks Rd. due to deteriorating conditions.
Waterworks between Michigan Line and Lakeshore Rd. will see the speed limit reduced to 60km/h from 80km/h.
City Engineer Andre Morin says the road, which was built 60 years ago has developed wheel ruts that fill with water or ice, causing motorists to drive in the middle of the busy corridor that connects Brights Grove with the rest of Sarnia.

The city is applying for upper tier funding through the second intake of the Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund.
Morin says replacing the roadway would cost about $1.5-million while dealing with a deteriorating shoulder and relocating a nearby drain would cost an additional $1-million.
He adds the project is close to the top of their reconstruction list, with work to hopefully begin next year.
