A heat warning continues for Sarnia-Lambton.
Daytime high temperatures near 30 C (86F) with humidex values near 40 C are forecast again today.
Additionally, overnight low temperatures are only expected to fall to near twenty tonight.
A cold front will move through Wednesday bringing an end to the hot and humid weather that has persisted for about a week.
While extreme heat can put everyone at risk from heat illnesses, health risks are greatest for older adults, infants and young children, people with chronic illnesses such as breathing difficulties, heart conditions or psychiatric illnesses.
People who work in the heat, exercise in the heat and those without access to air conditioning and the homeless are also at higher risk.
Heat warnings are issued when very high temperature or humidity conditions are expected to pose an elevated risk of heat illnesses, such as heat stroke or heat exhaustion.
Lambton Public Health has also issued a heat alert for the area.
