OPP Alarmed By Spike In Motorcycle Crashes

The OPP is alarmed as serious crashes involving motorcycles continue to escalate.

There have been two more -- one in St. Clair Township yesterday and another this morning in Elgin County.

West Region Sergeant Dave Rektor says so far this year, there have been 27 fatal crashes involving motorcycles on OPP patrolled roads.

He says defensive riding is key and the safety of motorcyclists is the responsibility of everyone.
