The OPP's annual Thanksgiving weekend safety initiative saw a 71 per cent increase in stunt driving charges over the same period last year.
Police say the number of seatbelt charges at 478 and impaired driving charges at 83 were also up.
OPP officers investigated four fatalities including a single vehicle crash in Plympton-Wyoming that claimed the life of a 26-year-old man.
Police say speed was a factor in two of the deaths and in one of the fatalities alcohol was involved.
Operation Impact, however, did see a drop in the number of distracted driving charges.
