The new owner of Bayside Mall has big plans for the facility in downtown Sarnia.
Gord Laschinger is one of the principals of Bayside Mall 2015 Ltd, the company established by Willsondale Assets Management to oversee operation of the shopping centre.
He says they're looking at building a three-to-six storey assisted living and independent supportive living project for up to 150 people in the middle of the facility.
Laschinger says they're also in discussions with a grocery store chain.

Lashinger also says they're looking at acquiring the property at 146 Christina St. S. to possibly increase mall exposure through a piazza-type development fronting Christina.
He stresses, though, everything remains in the planning stage at this point.
